Paxmod Toxicity Checker Privacy Policy

Last updated: 16 October 2026

Paxmod Toxicity Checker ("the extension") is published by Paxmod (paxmod.com).

What the extension handles

  • Text you choose to check. When you click "Check with Paxmod" on selected text, or click Check in the popup, that text (up to 500 characters) is sent over HTTPS to https://www.paxmod.com/api/v1/text for moderation. Nothing is sent unless you take one of these actions.
  • Your Paxmod API key. It is stored in Chrome storage (chrome.storage.sync) in your browser so the extension can authenticate your requests. It is only ever sent to paxmod.com.

What the extension does not do

  • It does not read pages, browsing history or any text you have not explicitly chosen to check.
  • It does not use analytics, tracking, cookies or advertising.
  • It does not sell or share data with third parties.

Processing by Paxmod

Text sent for moderation is processed by the Paxmod service under your Paxmod account, as described in the Paxmod privacy policy at https://www.paxmod.com. Messages may be logged to your account's moderation history in the same way as any other API request.

Removing your data

Open the extension settings and click Remove to delete your stored key, or uninstall the extension. To delete data held by Paxmod, contact Paxmod via paxmod.com.
